Review the Happy Sun Qigong ebook for special precautions and instructions prior to actual training!
Q: Is there an age-limit for learning Happy Sun Qigong?
A: Age or circumstance does not matter. Even pregnant women can and should practice Happy Sun Qigong. Parents, your kids will love it too!
Q: How long does it take to see any effect of practicing Happy Sun Qigong?
A: It depends on the individual but generally you start seeing small results right away. If we practice Happy Sun Qigong at least ½ hour two times every day, our body will achieve a small transformation cycle every three days, and a larger transformation cycle every seven days. Progress is greatly enhanced and better stabilized by applying the principles and techniques to every aspect of daily living.
Q: Can Happy Sun Qigong cure diseases?
A: We can't make any claims like that here, but it is well known that Qigong is a great natural cure for chronic diseases as well as eliminating acute symptoms that can restrict our enjoyment of life. There is not a single disease that has not been cured or resolved with Qigong, however results vary from person to person and have been difficult to scientifically verify because Qigong principles defy many scientific principles and ordinary beliefs.
Q: Can I practice Happy Sun Qigong and continue my pharmaceutical medications?
A: Yes. Please keep in mind that western medicine practice generally offers no cures for disease or illness, but rather “medicates” the symptoms to prolong life and the chance of eventual healing. Integrating Happy Sun Qigong with western medicine is strongly recommended and can be very supportive. At minimum, if we practice Happy Sun Qigong every day with perseverance, the possibility of getting sick will be greatly reduced and recovery time from illness will speed up.
Q: When is the best time during the day to practice Happy Sun Qigong?
A: Any time. As people live on tight schedule nowadays, any free moment can be used to practice techniques from Happy Sun Qigong and like I mentioned above, the more you apply the techniques to your daily living, the better the results. However, right after waking up and right before going to bed are the best two periods of time for practice.
Q: Is Happy Sun Qigong the same as Yoga?
A: They both work on improving ones natural body movement, overall health, and mental/emotional well being. Buddha once said, "life and death lie between the in and out of a breath." Knowing how to breathe enables us to exhale bad energy from our body and replace it with good energy. Breathing techniques are incorporated into Yoga and other qigong practices because the breathing circle lays the ground for a healthy body. Traditional Yoga exercise puts a lot of emphases on Chi, using Chi to increase our breath and the agility of our body. Some people consider Yoga to be a form of qigong.
Q: Can Happy Sun Qigong help my health and fitness?
A: Physical exercises, such as running, gymnastics and weight training makes people sweat and feel strong. In principle, these are exhausting exercises, and they mainly work our body. During physical workout, our body is under stressful conditions. In addition, this kind of exercise creates exhaustion, exhaustion creates inner emptiness, and inner emptiness makes us eat more and/or sleep more to feel fulfilled. The process turns our body into a battlefield, circling around exhaustion and over-fulfilling or indulgence. Before long, the body tends to un-naturally wear out and we lose our “essence energy” only then to turn to vitamins, supplements, coffee and energy drinks which further destroying our essence. Also, during physical exercise, there is a common focus on making our body appear healthy and fit thereby feeding our superficial values.
On the other hand, Happy Sun Qigong increases our internal fortification as well as the external body. With the relaxed and open state of being that Happy Sun Qigong places us in, we receive energy (qi) that is transferred throughout our internal system. It has the same effect as cardiovascular exercises, while our body is in a very relaxed condition, with little or no risk of physical injuries. Practicing Happy Sun Qigong has many of the benefits of doing physical exercises without many of the side effects. However I am not suggesting stopping vigorous physical exercise, but rather keeping it in moderation and balance with what your body needs to function optimally.
Q: Does the practice of Happy Sun Qigong conflict with any religion?
A: Happy Sun Qigong is not connected with any religion or cult. If a student feels that there is a conflict, then it is within his/her own mind and it should be expressed in order to relieve confusion and gain clarity. Happy Sun Qigong has scientific principles, but is not a science. It has religious insights and spiritual knowledge, but is not a religion. It has physical benefits, but is not a sport. There is a saying "You are not against anything; unless you go against yourself."
Q: Should I practice Happy Sun Qigong if I feel sick, tired or emotional?
A: Generally, yes. But this is at your own discretion and I suggest contacting your doctor or primary physician. Some of my biggest breakthroughs have occurred when my training was most difficult (I didn't "feel" like doing it) and I could have given up, if you know what I mean. I have never heard of anyone regretting practicing Happy Sun Qigong!
